I blowdry my hair every day (would look horrible if I didn't) and I need a really good leave-in conditioner that protects against heat. I can't afford anything too expensive but would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

I have fine hair and don't like heat protectant products that don't weigh down my hair also. Try neutrogenia heat safe. It will make your hair look shiny and feel soft. It also doesn't leave any buildjup.

I have straight long medium-thick hair. One of my favorite ways of attempting to thwart heat-styling damage is to mix a small amount of Lanza leave-in reconstructor (sorry can't remember the exact name of the product right now) and few drops of jojoba oil in the palm of my hand and stroke it thru my hair (never the scalp tho). This really seems to do the trick when I wimp out and give into vanity because i want to blow dry, use a curling iron or hot rollers, etc.

I use Back to Basics Sunflower Detangling and Conditioning Spray. This stuff is amazing at softening my hair. I have coarse, curly hair and this product makes it almost too soft. I always use it when blow-drying. It smells great and contains lots of all-natural ingredients.
