I'm having the worst time finding products that don't weigh my shoulder length, fine hair down! Has anyone tried Guts from Redken? I bought some, and it's one of those products where one day it works, the next it leaves my hair flat, stiff and sticky. Maybe I'm just using it wrong. What do you all think of this product? Also has anyone tried Abba's volumizing shampoo? Does it work for you?

>I have tried Guts before, but it seemed to leave my hair sticky, and the volume did not last long. Back to Basics Wildberry Volumizing shampoo and conditioner work very nice. They give volume, yet they leave your hair soft and shiny. As far as a root volumizer, you might want to try the new one from Biolage (Amplify). Just be careful to spray it on your roots, not your scalp, otherwise it will leave a film. Good luck!!!I'm having the worst time finding products that don't> weigh my shoulder length, fine hair down! I tried the ABBA line and was very unimpressed. It sounds like I have the same type of hair as you do (fine and shoulder-length) and this line did NOTHING for it.The shampoo had two steps where you leave it on for a minute each (if I remember correctly), then you had to leave the conditioner on two minutes! Well, it was taking me forever to shower, which maybe would have been worth it if I saw any results, but I didn't. The conditioner was totally watery and I had to use lots of it to get it to even work. The best conditioner I've tried so far that doesn't weigh my hair down is ABBA TruMint. I'm always looking for something better though.

I, too, have very straight, fine hair that is past my shoulders. I always look for products that will give my hair more body, etc. I recently started using an AMAZING product made by SunGlitz called "Pre-Plus". It's like a detangler/conditioner/demineralizer/porosity equalizer all in one. You use it like a conditioner after shampooing. I can't tell you how incredible it makes my hair feel. It is so full of body and it's very soft. The demineralizer in it really takes out the "gunky" feeling that hard water leaves behind. I can't find a local salon that carries SunGlitz where I live, but you can find it at WWBS. I'm a major fan of this stuff. BTW, I've used ABBA volumizing gel and my conclusions were exactly like yours. I hated the stuff. It was like Elmer's glue. Anyway, if you want to try a great product, give PrePlus a whirl. :) Kelly

These together work marvelously. Also, try ABBA's mousse instead of gel. Mousse is less sticky than gel.
