Are clarifiers, deep cleansing and anti residue shampoos the same?I'm going to get a deep cleansing one but I have an anti residue shampoo at home and I don't waqnt to waste money! Thanks!
hithese do often tend to be the same. i would generally put clarifying and anti-residue in the same category, but deep cleansing in a separate one. the only way to tell for sure is to check the ingredients on the label.i have found that clarifiers and anti-residue shampoos often have certain chelating agents (the equivalent of exfoliating agents for a skin care product) that differentiate them from the deep cleansing shampoos.but this is only a general statement. many products vary, so, again, check the ingredients.:) silvie
Hi there! Thanks for answering.I'm sorry but I don't recognise most of the ingredients other then the natural ones.Of course there's the sls,s laureth sulfate and probably the safest ammonium lauryl sulfate. Can you tell what what exactly am I suppose to look out for?
hibelow is the most widely used chelating agent in hair products that i've seen. You may see it in the shampoo ingredients list in one of two ways, though usually the later:Edetate DisodiumEDTA (Ethylene Diamine Tetra Acetic Acid)If you look this up in a dictionary, you may also find it described as a synthetic compound used in lotions as a preservative.:) silvie
