Hi :)Once years ago I had build up in my hair from cheap hairspray and no matter how many times I shampooed, I couldn't wash it out. Then I heard from a hairdresser that if you mix 1/2 baking soda with water, apply it to hair, and then wash it out with Neutragena Residue shampoo (The original formula that gets rid of build up)it will come out. I tried this and it worked! I think after I applied the 1/2 baking soda with water I shampooed twice with the Neutragena. Try it and let us know what happens! Good luck!MariaRelated Link:Maria In Mass
I had that happen to once. For halloween I was a greaser (like Bowser from Sha Na Na), all I had to use was Dawn dishwashing detergent and it cleaned it right out.

hey tracie-dont despair, it will come out. try a clarifying shampoo (aveda's is great). since water and oil dont mix, also try applying regular shampoo directly to your dry hair, mix in a lot of it! then lather using water. this should help to break up the oily vaseline. repeat a couple of times after that.:) silvie
Help, I put vaseline in my hair for a photo shoot and now i can't get it out. I've washed it twice with shampoo and twice with dish detergent, it's still gross. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!!!
