Is this a totally bad idea> (out of style) or is it true that perms are starting> to come back.For fine hair this will probably be the best thing you can do.If you get a body perm it may not do much for your hair.Fine hair tends to need a little bit of curl for stability.You can still where straighter looks if you have the right tools and products.A perm can help you get some styles that you may like better.It doesn't have to be the "big hair look".You can blow it out.Then use the biggest curling rod that you can still wrap your hair around.It will seal the ends and smooth out your curl (although your hair after use of blow-drier will be straight).Your hair will be full and have the volume you need to wear it in a straighter style.The only difference will be it won't feel as flowing as it does without the perm.This perm will stiffen it up.Giving your less movement,but the benefit is your style will stay and be lifted on your scalp(making it look thicker).It most likely will take you a little longer to work with,but it will beworth it.Make sure to use a leave-in-conditioner daily.Ask your stylist for some good products so your new perm can look great and soft worn straight.A good stylist should know exactly the perm for you and the style you want.Remember fine hair and body don't make a big change.Although to much curl will be impossible to wear straight.Good luck.
