I have naturallu curly hair and I MUST say, that over the last four years I have worn it both curly and haveblown itout staright... Anyway, I received MANY more compliments (like ten fold) when I wore it curly, as opposed to straight! Anon, you are SOOO right, NOT all women are born with this stick, straight hair... actually MOST aren't! Some famous curly/wavy heads:Jennifer AnnistonGwyneth Paltrow (belive it, it's TRUE)Susan SurrandonJulia Roberts (of course, ya'll know that one!)Teri Hatcher (remeber her stick, straight 'Superman' bob... a total blow out!)Well, I could go on and on... anyway... I also agree with some of the other posts... guys tend to like what NATURALLY comes on a gals head! My hubby like my curls b/c he says its a care-free beachy look, that HE likes... however, other men may like the shiny sleekness of staright hair...I guess it comes down to personal preference!!!Sherry (a BIASED curly head LOL)> I am curious as to what guys prefer-Curly or Straight> hair (on a girl)?> I think it's straight hair and my cousin thinks it's> curly hair.

Ask ten different guys and get ten different answers! I think matching hair to personality goes a long way, as well.I'm female and generally prefer hair in its close-to-natural state (as far as waviness or straight) as possible. Natural waves look gorgeous! And I have a daughter with incredibly thick, but straight waist-length hair. But if she tried to perm it, I don't think it would look as good since that not the way it was designed! There are exceptions, of course, but generally I think we get in trouble the more we try to change the texture or color of our hair. Now, a little enhancement here and there to accentutate color or waves is great also! But I think overprocessed hair is not attractive on anyone.Just my opinion.
> I have straightened my hair for a year or two but decided to let it go naturally wavy again. My husband absolutely loves it! He says its an illusion that all men like that long, stick straight hair - he thinks it makes women look too uptight. Most I have known like a bit of wild, free and natural in a woman!
> I am curious as to what guys prefer-Curly or Straight> hair (on a girl)?> I think it's straight hair and my cousin thinks it's> curly hair.I agree with Anon, my personal preference is curly hair. Both naturally curly and permed hair. A perm looks great on some women. Notice how I say "some". Curly hair can look really sexy on some women, but on others it is not! It depends on the individual women.
I know this is a personal decision for most girls but as for me I know I like curly better. Of course not EVERYONE looks good with curly hair (or straight for that matter) - Mariah Carey comes to mind. She was much sexier with curlier hair IMHO. Straight hair on her looks BLAH! Anyway, that's my "guy" perspective. The thing I notice most is how most girls feel that they all have to have the SAME hairstyle that is "in" at the time. Look at how many girls wear their hair straight or with very little wave? They can't ALL have natural hair like that. Anyway, when perms and curly hair come back then it will be like the 80's all over again and (almost) every girl will probably be wanting THAT look and then once again everyone will start looking the same. My personal preference is curly hair because I find that sexier and more attractive on a girl. Moreover, I just wish girls would realize that most guys (I think) would prefer a girl who is an individual about things (i.e. hair) and makes her own decisions; someone who doesn't follow the herd of sheep if you know what I mean. And there are some guys who just don't care at all. I know I personally have more respect (and romantic interest)for a girl who makes her own decisions on what hairstyle *she* looks best in and not the hairstyle that fashion magazines and talk shows shove down your poor girls throat. But I understand the pressure of the beauty industry and how they love to dictate what "the fashionable girl" will be wearing this season when it comes to clothes, hair, etc. Sometimes I feel sorry for you girls and all the CRAP you have to put up with! Merry Christmas!
