Hiiiiiiiiiiiii long hair people. I dropped in to say hello and to let all of you know that I'am doing well. As for my hair *smiles* I can already pin the sides up and I have bangs that now need a trim. I believe that in another 3 months I will be completely able to pull all of my hair up in a short pony tail on top of my head. Not too bad for having a G.I. Jane buzz cut in March. Lastly...thank goodness for this site. I have learned so many things on proper hair care. Most importantly...I have learned to just leave my hair alone and get into a new hobby...scrapbooking. I will stop back again from time to time. Take Care People!

You know what also helps, you enjoying that new hobby gives you positive vibes and that helps hair grow.
I'm glad to hear that you can do some stuff you like with it. I wish my growing from short to long could have been more than just wearing a baseball cap. I don't use styling products at all so I didn't slick my hair or anything like that. It was just free to grow. I got my 3 inch cut in April of 94 and when I started my job in September of 95 I was able to make a tail and tuck it up under a hat so it won't take too long to get some tailable length.
Thanks for the update. I for one am glad you let us know. :)
Great to hear of your fantastic progress! You are so right about doing other things - hair does seem to grow really slow when one is staring at it all the time, doesn´t it? Scrapbooking is fun, I kept one for the year I lived in the States as a student - it´s a fine american tradition.

Hi PurpleBubba, Viktoria, and DaveDecker...so nice to hear from all of you. I'am VERY VERY busy this year...my daughter is a senior and will be graduating so hence the "Scrapbooking". I will be making 5 of them for her As to your question DaveDecker...I'am not sure as to how fast my hair grows but with proper diet, exercise, and trying to be stress free...it grows a little more then 1/2 an inch a month...probably about 3/4 an inch or close to it. I also found that to just leave it alone is by far the best thing I could do. Your 2nd question was "Remind me, how long do you want to grow your hair?" I really have to laugh at this question only because it brings my great niece to mind. She and I made a bet that we both would never ever cut our hair again. I told Lilly that I want my hair to grow to the back of my knees and she wants her hair to grow past her feet. Lilly is 6 years old...so you have to humor her. Seriously...I do want my hair to grow to the back of my knees. I know it won't be easy trying to resist new hair styles and short lengths. By next summer I should be able to completely pin myhair up so I won't have to worry about the various lengths as they are growing out. After that the following year I will be able to make braids again...and wearing braids is my signature.
