I am looking for a good highlighting kit. I have the itch to go blonde for the summer. Any suggestions? I am too broke to go to the salon and need to do this at home.
i forget who makes it but someone makes one thats not to pricey and all my friends use it. It wont be to hard to figure out what its called because it comes with a strand thing, like a comb that spreads it better, i dunno, i think its loreal or some brand like that. sorry if this didnt help at alll if i remeber the name ill post you again..... good luck

Well, I would suggest that you don`t do it at all yourself. It very often works out for the worst. (I did it...... )
A streaking kit is better I think, because it is more accurate than one of those comb things. Loose bleach makes discolourations in the hair and looks DREADFUL!
I think Loreal makes a good one. (Or buy a cap from a hairdresser, and one of those things to pull it through, plus the powder bleach and processor if you want to do it more than once)
This isn`t exactly highlighting but I used this stuff by Salon Salectives that brings out the natural highlights in your hair. It`s called" Lighten up". It`s great stuff. It gives you alittle color and it looks totally natural. My friends keep telling be how nice my highlights are. (they thought they were professional) Make sure to get the right one though. They have different bottles like for dark, or light hair. I got blondeish/goldish highlights while my friend got a shimmery red. It`s so easy too. It looks like moose and goes on like moose, and you don`t have to sit in the sun or use the blow dryer on extra hot. After your shower just comb though alittle. It takes 2 weeks to actually show. But it last for like 4 months. ~Gabby~

go for it go blonde do it yourself it is cheap and easy to do at home if unsure get a friend to do it for you..check out the superettes and hair care shops for the cheapest and read about them and ask around then go for it

if you are a cheap skate just buy one from the cheapest place around and do it your self it is not hard i have been there done that with pretty good results ,but why would you reall want to ????
