Help With Dreadlocks

Wish I could point you somewhere, but I don't know any stylist or locticians down there. But you are so right to let a seasoned pro guide your dreadlock growth. I would guess you might have locked-up by now. How long are your dreads at this point? Mine locked in after 4 or 5 weeks, as I recall and then they just started sprouting like wild fire. I'm Jewish with real tight, curly chestnut brown hair so they just took off and grew out pretty rapidly with a lot of weekly guidance from my loctician and stylist who made sure they didn't clump together, but took proper care to weed out stray coils and to establish evenly formed locks. He taught my girlfriend how to massage my scalp to promote continued growth - very important - and to how to oil my locks once a week. Two years later I am very proud of my chest length locks. Much as I love what I grown out now, the early stages are pretty cool too, don't you think? I'd really be interested to hear about your feelings and experiences. How's it going at work. People cool about it?
