Em, yes thats $65 per bundle including all the ems charges and tranfer charges. It may even be a bit less than that. I order in bigger quantity so its been awhile since Ive ordered I cant remember exactly how much I paid, but it was very reasonable. I use a bundle and a quarter for a full head on myself. Some only require 1 bundle. There are about 150 pieces in the bundles I get. The site is very confusing, and the man who owns the company sends all the emails and invoices etc...and can be a little confusing at times (not the best English) but a total pleasure to deal with. Once they recieve your payment they ship REALLY quick, yes it really is 2-3 days for shipping but the transfers and stuff can take a week! I had a western union I sent them once take 2 weeks now they dont like western union for payment! When I ordered last they didnt have the different grades available since then theyve added higher quality than what I use and its reasonable too.

If you email them they will send you the link to their price list. Or I can look it up later in my emails and post it for you. But there price list is a little confusing too!

So I am getting the idea that for the price I pay I getting a decent deal on this soooo called remy human hair!
The first time I used this hair I took pretty good care of it, I removed it at four months cause the bonds were wasted big time and the new growth (I know you shouldnt go that long) And the hair was still in really good shape, no tangling even at that stage. But I still washed curled and blowdried every day.

Hey Sherrie,

It's interesting how they describe the four different grades of the hair on their products page: http://www.hairextension.name/

Which grade did you order? If it's lasting 2.5 to 3 months (even with a lot of washing and styling), my guess is that it's cuticle is mostly removed but lying in the same direction (otherwise, you get major tangling). I somewhat doubt it's single-drawn hair, though.

The way you're describing it, it's about on par with most of the hair I've gotten, and the price is quite reasonable as human hair goes. The only stuff I had that looked not only good, but great, after three months was some cuticle hair I got from hisandher, but it was black, and I'm sure it underwent a lot less processing than the blonde equivalents. It cost about $750 per full head, so it had better last.

I have some Great Lengths I wore for about two months that I'm planning to re-tip and reuse, which hopefully will last another three months, but that hair cost me $1200 for a full head, and it's hardly worth that amount. I hope to get three more months out of it, but I may be a bit optimistic.

If I do human one more time (because I plan to switch to synth soon), I'll probably try glamourhair's silky straight, but I really think once you get into the light-blonde range, it's almost impossible to get decent hair (can you imagine what they have to do to that hair to get it that color--uugghhhh....). I was reading an interesting thread of Black Media Forum the other day, where the posters were saying that the lighter colors are always lower quality, even within the same brand (and I think they were talking about light brown, nothing even close to 613 blonde).

Man, I hope this synth thing works out....

Now that I went to look at that site, I have been there before, he has so much on his site that it gets confusing.

Do you have to email him for pricing? I couldnt find a price list anywhere. And where do you live if I may ask? Is that $65 including the $40 wire transfer and how much was shipping?

And I cant believe only 3 days shipping to the US? Has that been your experience??

So many questions, I know...lol....sorry.

2.5 to 3 months wear??? That sounds like fantastic hair. My own experience with what was supposed to be Remy hair was only about 3 weeks, and I used all the products on it your supposed to. I will have to check out that link, thanks for posting it.

Have any of you used the hair from www.hair21.com? This is what I use, they claim it is Remy hair and its the only remy hair I have ever used so I have no comparison. I am fairly satisfied with the quality and durability. Ive used it for about a year now and depending how I treat my hair I get more or less wear time out of it before its trashed. I blowdry and curl every day, I dont use the products that I should most of the time and I never braid it before going to bed...I am HARSH on my hair and it lasts 2.5-3 months before its looking crappy. At first I did everything I was supposed to do and the hair outlasted the bonds and still looked good when they had to be removed . And its really inexpensive in comparison to what I hear that some of you pay for hair. My question is...if I spend a few hundred $ will I get hair that will last longer under the torture that I put it through? I buy it in bigger quantity so the money transfer charges and shipping from Korea doent kill me but I only pay about $65.00 or a little less per 4 ounce bundle.

Hmm... Haven't used either, and they're not providing any brand names. It looks like the second might have a Sepia tag, but it's hard to tell. They both look nice, though.... Maybe you can call or email them for the brand name; someone here may have used it and be able to give feedback.

Ive been going through the links Ive saved up and found this one.

www.hairland.com

This is the actual hair im thinking of ordering:

http://www.hairland.com/Weaving_Hair/Italian_wave_for_weaving/italian_wave_for_weaving.html

was wondering if anyone has ever used or heard of this hair. The hair im looking at is $48 for 18" weft hair for pre-tipping my own. Its a great price, but like they say, you get what you pay for sometimes.

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear that. I get the feeling that Docs might be better for supplies than actual hair (based on some recent posts).

I bought the silky straight, Remy hair from DrLocks and it was garbage too. Since it was my first foray into extensions I just assumed it was something I did wrong. I put the extensions in and within 24 hours it was a tangled mess. I emailed DrLocks about it and she suggested using all those shampoos and conditioners she sells on her website. I found a supply store here that sells the same stuff, spent $50 on bottles of shampoo, conditioner, leave in conditioner and a straightener and it did no good whatsoever.

Also DrLocks hair color is different from her chart. I bought #4 which is supposed to be a dark brown and got an almost blonde shade that didnt match my hair at all. The good news was that I dyed it #4 and it took to the dye fairly well.

Its great finding out where to get good hair, thanks for all the ideas.

Yeah, I'm pretty addicted to the whole fake-hair thing, too. Makes me want to quit my day job and become an extensions apprentice........

Hi Isaac!

Yeah, Kristin has recommended the Bohyme hair and that will be my next purchase.

I actually have some great hair in right now with the exception of a couple strands here and there. It's always the loose wave/curly type I have troubles with. And, of course, once it's washed, ya can't return it.

Jenn - I have perhaps 100 or so in but they are very thick strands that I've put together myself. I would say they are the equivilent to about 250-300 regular strands. I wear it very long, too - 18-24" and I have it mixed up all throughout for a layered shaggy effect. My entire crown is free as well as the back of the head so I can wear a claw up there without discomfort. They start about 4" from the top on the sides and about 5" from the top in the back.

I'm always buying hair. My problem is that I get bored quickly and I think I'm addicted to buying hair. LOL! I have wefts and wefts of it but I keep buying more! Help me, I need a support group!

Try the Bohyme hair .

Sensational hair is not so great.

I dont sell bohyme or anything but use it on my clients and find it to last for a long time.

Im sure if you do a search you can find it.

I feel so bad .

Sounds like you have been having bad luck in the hair extensions dept.

Where are you located?

Maby i know of someone who can do your hair.

Did someone ask me about the Cinderella hair I got off afrocare in an email? I think I deleted it and I just only found out there's private emails through this board. Like DUH. I'm blonde.

The hair I got is in the 22" bodywave and the strand heft is excellent. Here's the photo: http://afrocare.com/cgi-local/afro/gethdets.cgi?id=9&T=H

I know some here have had bad reviews on Cinderella's texture but I think I got lucky here.

I have read good reviews about afrocare. It took almost 3 weeks to get here. They claim it's a 5-7 day mail service so I wasn't pleased about that. Also, they didn't respond to several emails. I switched to another email account and they wrote back right away. They may have a spam filter on that deleted my first mails? I know that happens sometimes and I can hardly blame them considering the volumes of spam I get myself.

Anyyyyyyyyyyyyyyway....

The color shocked me. I ordered #12 light golden brown and I got the color that is pictured on the site - very dark brown with almost no red tones (I gotta have the red tones!). I got the approval to send it back for an exchange of a lighter color and then I saw Kristin's photo and how she has a very dark brown contrast in her blonde. It inspired me to use it and it looks pretty good against my blonde, too.

The cost was $80 US dollars (There is an easy conversion table on their site) and shipping was $6 or $7 or something. For a full head of the longer length, you'd need maybe 5 or 6 packages so you can see it's a bit spendy. Good hair, though. It washes nice and has a soft wave that doesn't frizz. Those bonds, though, are honkin big. I could never wear a full head of em unless I snipped at least half that glue bond away at the top.

Oh yeah, I've tried those bodywave styles before where they show in the photo to be loosely rolled up.

I tried this in the 26'28" and it was garbage:

http://hisandher.com/store/shop_product.asp?main=MAIN_001&sub=SUB_004&pro=1

There's no loose wave. It washes into a frizz and feels rough against your fingers. It actually snags in my own hand.

I tried this:

http://www.hairpiece.com/product.asp?pf_id=EUFP20%5FBODY

The strands are incredibly thin and I'm only using a few as highlights. Not sure I'd want a whole head of them in. It'd probably take about 400 just to get the fullness I like. I'll never buy pretipped again without knowing the weight. NEVER buy in strand numbers, always buy in weight because you'll get ripped off with these puny little thin strands.

Also, in regard to hair that's rolled up like this photo:

http://glamourhair.com/extensions/bodywaveweft.asp

I have NEVER been able to undo one without it becoming a tangled mess. (I did not buy the hair pictured, I'm only using it as a reference.) I have gotten a couple of those rolled wefts and no matter how careful I am, it always gets wrapped around itself.

Interesting. Have you ever tried any of the big-barrel wavy kinds, like: http://www.hairpiece.com/product.asp?pf_id=APE102%5F12 ? (I think Bohyme has a similar one.) I love the look of really big, loose waves, but I worry that these types won't retain their texture after washing. I usually use straight hair to avoid this probelm altogether, but a lot of the straight I've gotten has a wave to it after washing, too.

That's one of the things I like about hisandher, they show you what the hair will look like before and after washing:
http://hisandher.com/store/shop_sub.asp?main=MAIN_001&sub=SUB_005

Have you ever ordered from hairpiece or hisandher?
