And once again, Mr. JF, I agree with you that Meg Ryan's longer hair was most flattering on her. She's had extensive plastic surgery on her chin (compare how she looked in 1980 or 81 in a film with Candace Bergen -- you won't recognize her -- completely different in looks) and the straightness of her hair emphasizes all the straight, long lines between her mouth and nose and on the bottom corners of her mouth. Not flattering at all. Shoulder length or longer with waves would really bring out her best, I think.

IMHO,

Jennifer

I thought Meg Ryan's hair looked best in "Prelude to Kiss," where she wore it very long, and in "When Harry Met Sally," where she wore it in various medium-length styles. Her current style just makes her look sloppy.

Although I never saw "Prelude to a Kiss," I liked Meg Ryan's hair in "Sleepless in Seattle." I don't like the way her hair (with extensions) looks in the previews of her latest movie, though.

BTW, has anybody seen her lately? It looks like she's growing out her short hair, but it is in desperate need of a shape-up trim or two.

As usual I have to disagree! I think Meg is one of those women that can wear "odd" styles. Remember her short curly style? I wouldn't call it sexy but it did look cute. I like the longer version of the choppy layered style she is now wearing much better with the extra length in the back, it balance it out.

Lately? It's hard to say. I read a lot of magazines, but there's no telling /when/ a particular photo was taken. She's in a new movie with Diane Keaton and Lisa Kudrow, and they all have shoulder-length bobs that are blown out straight. I /think/ that's her most recent look.....?

Lately = within the last two weeks. I saw a snippet of her on some early evening tabloid show having been just featured on a talk show (Rosie O'Donnell, I think).

Right now, Meg's hair is between chin and shoulder-length -- and (as I said previously, IMO) in desperate need of a shape-up trim.

I have to say I've liked every hairstyle I've seen on her except for the recent extensions. She looked great with long hair in "The Doors" movie but for some reason it doesn't look right this time. I have seen a pic. with her growing out her last short cut from "You've Got Mail" and I think it looks good like that, better then the extensions. Maybe because the hair is fake, it wasn't done well? What do you think?

I liked Meg's hair the best in "Sleepless in Seattle." It's never looked that good since, IMHO.

She definitely needs to stay with longer hair. That short choppy style just doesn't cut it. The "Sleepless" look is her best.
