It is not uncommon for the graphic people to do "touch up" on the pics. They are able to enhance or even change eye color, hair... Who cares...she looks great in the pic and this is as close as I will ever get to her (not by choice)

Nice make up job on the second picture, but the hair is just ordinary. Her original hair is much more attractive. I`m sure Gord would agree!
Gord does indeed agree. When I see a woman who cuts off that much hair, sadly, I think she`ll never grow it long again. Can you think of many celebrities that cut off long hair and then let it grow back again? Only Demi Moore and Heather Locklear come to mind, although I`m sure there must be more.
- Andie MacDowell - From bob (Four Weddings and a Funeral) back to long and curly
- Julia Ormond - Short (Sabrina) back to long (though I think she`s cut it again).
- Sandra Bullock - bob (Demolition Man, Speed) to long
- Lauren Holly - yeah, I know she had extension at one point, but it still got fairly long again.
- Liv Tyler - pixie (Cookie`s Fortune) to long again now
- Robin Tunney - bald (Empire Records) to long to short (Supernova) to long again.
- Kim Basinger - short to long to very short (after LA Confidential ruined her hair) to long now.
- Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, and Courtney Cox at various points.
- Audrey Tantou - long to short (Amelie) to long to short again.
That`s off the top of my head. Who am I forgetting?
Oh, and for what it`s worth, I agree with better hair in the first picture and better makeup in the second. Not that her hair doesn`t look good shorter, that`s just a very bland style.

You folks are not only proving that my memory does not work that well with minimum sleep, you`re also making my day! I love the replies, although I challenge whether some of them (SMG, Hannigan) have grown their hair as long as it used to be. Keep those cards and letters coming!
By the way, JF, I saw a photo of Liv Tyler and just knew you`d add her to the list. Aren`t we both glad she came to her senses and grew her hair out again?
