At the Daytime Emmy Awards (mid May)she sported a slightly longer than chin length bob. I wonder if this is the drastic change. If it is, it is not that drastic - though I will try to watch it.
They just did "the cut" on Guiding Light on the east coast.
**** spoiler **** STOP READING if you don't want to know....
Basically when I tuned in they showed her at the salon, in the chair, wet hair, about to go under the scissors. Her stylist gives her one more chance to change her mind, but she says she's ready, it's a new chapter in her life, etc. He makes one snip in the back and hands her what looks like maybe 3 inches of hair.... and that's the end of the scene.
They show her next arriving for her date all dressed up. The cut looks good. It's about chin length, straight, slightly layered bob, left side part, bangs, blunt on bottom (no flippy ends or "shattered" or any of that). And of course it's tucked behind the ears (is that required by law or something?)
It looks pretty good on her, very simple and sleek and stylish. Still, having seen the gorgeous curly mane she had before, you'll probably guess by my screen name that I'm a bit disappointed. Why women with such gorgeous curly hair are so eager to trade it for more "standard" straight styles is a mystery to me....

I've followed Laura since her days on the soap opera "Loving," when her hair ws even longer. I haven't seen it yet, but I feel for you. Actresses who get their hair cut on a show often seem to be remembered for it. (Kassie DePaiva of One Life to Live comes to mind right away.) And sometimes that's not necessarily a good thing.
Women tuck hair behind the ears so it doesn't get in their face. Like you, there's something that gets to me when women do that. Women with curly hair want straight hair and straight haired women want curly hair. It's exciting and different to want what you don't have.
Well, you know what it was like now. I am still willing to do the transfer if people want it, but I was very disappointed. While the cut was well done, it was very much a "I am a 40 year old empowered yuppie" cut that really isn't all that creative, IMHO.
I've followed Laura Wright's career since her days on the soap opera "Loving." She generally had very pretty hair, although it often looked unkempt. I think her hair is naturally curly. She would go through stages where it would be straight and then go back to curly. Her roots would often show through like the first photo you showed. But her hair was typically among the best on the show.
Her shoulder-length haircut, while a drastic change, still left her with a sexy look. Still, the new style had her with straight hair. With Laura, straight has never lasted for long.
Her latest, super short style does absolutely nothing for me... and I don't think it does anything for her. Instead of sexy, she looks kind of butch. The new style shows much of her face. She's lost much of the prettiness that came with longer hair.
I hope she grows it out again.

All of her previous styles were nice ... but i was shocked when i saw these recent pix of her CROP. Its such a dramatic (meaning bad) change i actually resubmitted the wire image search to make sure it was really her!
Clearly spent too much time with some sissor-happy stylist
Hal? Flea? Help me out here, i'm too astounded to think. Gord, you've lost it. lol
Wasn't thinking butch either. Do think it makes her look like 10 year older tho. The worst part is that I would normally say here that styled better with her make-up done, it would look better...except the pics are of her getting her makeup done. Should probably be shorter or longer, since the short wedge does nothing for her.
