I vote yes! Sophisticated, classic, classy, lots of volume, and it suits her well. Melanie's had some unflattering styles but this one I'd keep for a while.

Looks like she's trying and failing to channel Marilyn Monroe. Something about her face just doesn't seem right with the style. . . maybe she's pulled her face too tight or something :-P . The blonde is too light for her, too.
More awesome than a manatee!

Short hair might be good for her but not this style.

Melanie is such an interesting person where her hair is concerned. I don't like it short, nor do I like it long(the only other celebrity I feel this way about is Reba MacIntyre, although I know that there are those who think her little choppy, flippy do works. I don't.) Like Reba, I don't recall ever seeing a look on her that made me go"Wow".
This current version of her latest look though, imho,is a far cry better than when she was attempting to work it as a spiky/piecey do. Her hair always looks thin and unhealthy.
I feel she looked best when her hair was shoulder length, or a bit below, but only when it was worn up. Granted she did this for what seemed like an eternity, but it solved for me visually, my two issues with her hair(again, condition and thiness).

The only time I've liked her hair is in Working Girl (after the cut that Joan Cusack helps her with, of course)
