Robert Rodriguez wanted to duplicate the look of the comic book exactly. The comic was written in the 80s. That meant Rosario Dawson had to get this 80s idea of a futuristic hairstyle.

Thing is, the hairstyle Rosario has isn't the exact same hairstyle that Gail in the comic has. It was elements of it, but the hairstyle Gail has in the books is more or less the haircut Demi Moore had in Ghost, except side parted.

I like her hair the most from Men in Black II - short, layered, flippy.
Looks extremely cute (and I'm a big fan of cute) and just seems to fit
her face really well, in a way I don't think other styles have on her.

SOmething weird about that Sin City cover - the head and face look entirely too large for the body for some reason.
