I'm a bob lover too, but this seems too severe on her. Her face is very square , so instead of a harmony between the cut and her features, there seems to be competition to see who is more square - her jawline or her hair shape.
I don't find it severre at all! Striking is the word! This style looks just as good on her as it did on Louise Brooks 80 years ago. This actress could walk into a room and immediately turn the head of every man there and I don't think they would be thinking how severre she looks, well at least I wouldn't.
Personally I think this particular hairstyle suits her face very well.

I had to read up on her since I hadn't heard of her befoer. She is a very sought after super-model who is characterized as an anti-supermodel. As a model she has had many interesting and wonderful hairstyles. I found this interesting blurb in The Observer from an interview with her:
Erin's big break came a couple of years after she'd started modelling in earnest. She was 20-ish, and in Brazil, with photographer David Sims and hairdresser Guido, on a Harper's Bazaar shoot. She decided to get her hair cut off.
'And that was my liberation,' she says. 'They looked at me, and they were all like this and like that, lifting my hair, and they went: Well? What do you want to do? And I sat there and said: Cut it off. And it was such a release. I found my femininity for the first time, really and truthfully and genuinely, my own version of it. It was like: Oh, here I am! It was sensational, that buzzer going up the back of my head. And then, of course, that was it.' She clicks her fingers. 'It all went crazy.'
