I think I figured out the cause or at least one of them for shrinky failure. My hair is sheding the latex and glue are not holdig. As it sheds it becomes smaller then falls out leaving shrinky in place I have not lost a shrinky only the tip. I am going to play with some epoxy plastics this week end I will let you know how it goes

Marie, I also found that when I used hair that I pretipped myself with shrink links that is shed really bad, but when I use the MB perma tips, there's never a problem.
I think it's because when you shrink it down, the glue heats up and just doesn't hold as well.
Fan out the tip when you make it and press the glue in with a
popsicle stick. Flip to the other side and make sure both sides are
completely coated without being overly saturated. I've found too
much latex makes tips spongy.
When setting aside to dry, keep it fanned out until all the latex starts
to change its color to clear. It's time to roll it then. What I've been
doing is adding a little Liquid Gold and nail glue to it after it's dried.
Yeah, it's a little time consuming but my tips have been lasting a lot
longer like this.
Also, after everything is dry, hold the very tip in your fingers with
one hand and then with your thumb and forefinger of the other hand,
run it down the strand to get any loose hairs out. I'd rather take care
of that over a trash can than have hair bunnies in the house.
Merg's right too. I have had that happen as well if I don't have the
hair tip high enough, the shrinkie will actually birth it out the bottom
when heating.

I use a plastic knife not a popsicle stick but you do the same thing.
You also need to make sure all the ends are aligned when you clip the hair off and not transfer hands too many times (once or twice yes but more than that and the hair starts moving). bits of hair that are almost included can stay in for a while and then shed later...
Thank's for the info, I did work the latex thrugh, thought I had them covered prety good. I think amm's LG would work best but then that would add to removal because of added adhesive. I can't wait for that MB DVD to come out!!!!I bought some new stuff to try and bond with out of the three things one must workOh, I almost for got some of them were out of the top but still had little hair left .I will let you know what happens. Thanks
Hi there chick, I never have a problem with shedding when tipping with latex and nail glue but I always make sure I coat between the latex and hair with a fine line of nail glue too xx
