Does anyone know then best trick to keep hair from redarkening after
lightening with Colorfix / Modulat? Is it best to skip one round
of the neutralizer after lightening if you are doing it more than once?
Thanks!
Most of the time it darkens because the color is still in there and you haven't left it on long enough and taken out enough color pigments, also when you do re-color make sure you apply a level 2 shades lighter then desired. And rinse & shampoo the hair twice when taking the Colorfix or Modulat out, that's very important.

Hi Loren, is this Igora Modalut (Phantom) stuff any good? I was thinking of taking out my red and I wanna go blonde, I'm still unsure tho. Basically, did the Modulat stuff damage ur hair at all? Since it claims to be free of bleach and other harmful chemicals...thanx!
I better one then Modulat is the Color Erase by Matrix, it doesn't stink and leaves the hair is very goos shape and you don't have to do all the steps that you have to with Modulat.
Well, I have only ever used Modulat so I am usure as to how it compares
to the others out there. However, I have had great luck, except for
some redarkening with it. My hair was a little dry-ish after three
applications under heat, but nothing permanent. It wasnt damaged at
all. It usually bounces back after a couple good deep conditioning
treatments. It does stink, but for me it got rid of all the black
(years of it) in my hair and left it feeling very good considering. I
have not tried going from red to blonde. I dont know how light it would
get you. You could always just try it , up to threee times in a row,
and then color over to match what ever shade you ended up with. If you
feel brave...
Loren
