AMM: You are so messing with us!

The suspense is killing me--I must see your haar. That's it: I'm staying on eBay in protest until these pictures are enlarged.

:)

Looks fabulous amm.  I love the color and the length.  The layers are perfect.  I really like how natural it looks. Great job!

Ok, here we go. I call this "The Kalika" install.

Did a complete takedown of all the various hairs, textures, types, etc out last night. What a joy it was to wash my hair and scrub the life out of my head. I went to bed with an untethered wet head and tossed and turned as much as I wanted.

I did the 6 hour install myself all with black shrinkies. There's about 7-8 oz total 50mm PH in (no other type of hair) and the colors in are: bottom two rows of underlayer: Rotbusch, next rows are Rotbusch mixed with Mandel, next row is the previous two blended with Weizen, going up to Winterblond, Satinblond and Blond. The color blend with my own is seamless.

The length is an insane 34" and I'll trim it up as necessary.

Right now my head hurts like hell and I suspect it'll be worse tomorrow. Oh, the price we pay. :)

Showing off the fullness down at the bottom:

Outside. Gorgeous gold blonde!

And what everyone likes to see from a DIY... the ability to do rows on the back of the head!

Woo-hoo!  Amm, you are the master of color-blending, and that is uber-long.  Also, I don't know how you made those rows so neat.  Fantastic!

WOW WOW WOW....its absolutely gorgeous AMM! Keep us posted on the care, maintainence and everything like Jenny does! If you can pull it off (synthetic) I know I will be able to too. My next install will either be the PH or the 3 packs of Prostyles that I have sitting here! I have several packs of the PH in 28 mm but Im afraid to use it cause of the care, but I have the Prosyles natural so I might use that!

And thats some seriously LONG hair! I LOVE it!

OK, my boycott is over, then...

That hair is fan-f**king-tastic, girl!!! The colors, the length, the sectioning, the volume--all stunning. I love to leave the hair really, really long at first and cut it over the course of a few weeks, too (except that I suck at cutting hair). The black shrinkies look very natural at your roots, too--I assume your real hair is like a light to medium brown? Anyway, from the photos, they look perfectly seamless.

I assume you like to wash your hair a lot, but if you can possibly avoid it, I'd recommend not washing the length for at least a few days (you can wrap it in a bun, covered with a shower cap and a schrungi, and just wash the top),. Then, after the first wash, you can let air-dry completely (the wave will drop, but it'll still have some body), cause after the second wash you'll probably have to reset it with the rollers, which isn't a big deal of course, but it's nice to rock that initial wave as long as possible.

Again, it's amazing!!! :)

Thanks everyone! Did I mention my head hurt? Oh man. I popped open some Chardonay with dinner and with that and the Flexril, I'm hoping to go into a mini coma later tonight.

I always start at the bottom and work from the nape up. I leave a generous row free at the bottom so none show when the hair is pulled back. There's about 15 across from ear to ear and about 7 rows total. So what's that, a little over 100? Add in the sides and there's probably 150 total. I make them a little bigger so I get the volume. I have to take a good amount of my own hair to go along with the tip size. It's the only way they feel secure and don't give out on me.

I have to be honest, I'm scared to death of this PH. It feels and looks exactly like human hair but I feel the mother of all tangles is close by. Must be the length that has me all paranoid.

As soon as I get some sleep I'll have to tell you about the American Dream that arrived in my mailbox today.

Wow...love the hair.  I just ordered some black shrinkies from you so I'm glad to see how they look installed.  Much better than clear with darker hair.  The rows are amazing.  Your sections are larger...I can see where that could be an asset.

I prefer the extensions that are realistic, and that blending looks great.  Very nice job...and I'm not just blowin' smoke up anywhere.

Per any tangles, I recommend the Dome Care spray and a wide tooth comb. You may like the Flasher spray, too; it's pretty good. With hair that long, I'm sure you'll get some tangling, but it looks hot, which is, after all, the most important thing, lol! :)
