No, it's just a name they've given their product.

Minks are weasel-like rodents. They have a terminal length of about an inch and a quarter. Not very useful for extensions.

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

Yeah--definitely not from the animal. It's processed Asian hair, and they call it minx because it's quite fine and thin. Personally, the minx hair isn't my favorite. I think it's too thin and fine and therefore not very durable, but some people like it because it's a good blend for their hair and their styling regimen is low-impact. :)

I have bought the Italian Mink from His and Her, and I had terrible tangle problems within  days of installation.  I would not buy this hair again.

Unfortunately, the regular H&H weaving isn't very good either. Their cuticle hair is excellent, imo, but it's really expensive. Extensions-Plus and Glamourhair remy are both good too, but from the sounds of it, they'd be out of your budget.

If I were you, I'd either get some Bohyme from http://ebonyline.com/ or just go with synth (which would be the most cost-effective option) instead.

:)
