Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, because you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

I use it.But honestly it does depend on the person. It works well for me.But my husbands hair doesnt take to it at all.For me I use my first conditioner(aussie 3 minute miracle, deep)and I use it as I would shampoo.I scrub it into my scalp and length.I then rinse and apply a second conditioner halfway down only( john frieda's sheer blonde, and nuetral protein filler)I leave this on for 15 minutes or so.i try to leave it on as long as possible.I do this every wash. But once every two weeks I shampoo(loreal kids soothie smoothie shampoo, extra gentle)first to clarify.I leave it on a few minutes.Rinse and then follow with my normal conditioners.I know my conditioners have cones in them but they have not affected my hair.Like I said you have to try out things to see what works for you.My hair has also been chemically treated and needs lots of conditioners to mask any damage.Alot of people have had success with less conditioning.
(1) I put about a squeeze of Pure-A-Teas Lotus into an empty ketchup bottle, dilute it to 6 oz of water and shake to a froth. Apply to scalp, massage, rinse cold.
(2) diluted ACV rinse (every wash), which is poured onto the scalp and runs down the length,
(3) Suave Milk&Honey Conditioner combed through hair. No rinse yet.
(4) Kirkland Lemon Complex (silicone C), combed through gently with a seamless coarse Rachael Stephens comb. Final cold rinse
This method has worked great for me for the past few months.
I take a cheap conditioner--so far I've tried a few types of Suave--and dilute it with at least as much water as conditioner. Then I slather that all over my wet hair and scrub gently into the scalp. It kind of "falls" down the length while I'm doing this.
Then I let it sit on my head for 20 minutes-half an hour, rinse very very well (when you think you're done rinsing, rinse once more), then apply a heavier conditioner to just the ends and rinse out.
I have 3 different washing methods. The first one involves shampoo the
other two do not. Note that my hair is currently at least 30 inches
long.
PurpleBubba's Everchanging "No Rules" Wash Routines
My Shampoo & Conditioner Only Wash. (An Oxymoron ;) )
I start with warm to hot water because I want my cuticles to open.
I apply shampoo. I then rinsed still using the warm to hot water.
I apply conditioner.
For my hair I do about 3 globs. By then it's well coated.
I then grab my hair in a tail and kinda put it on top of my head like a horsehoe or upside down U shape.
I put a plastic bag / cap on. I then scrunch the bag down to make it
close to my head. I then put a claw clip on the outside to hold it
down. The reason for the cap is it lets your body heat stay inside and
acts like a heat cap a bit.
I then sit for about 20 minutes, with a radio on and drinking my coffee.
I then rinse off conditioner with warm to hot water.
I then apply the same conditioner and then rinse right away kinda like the bottle says.
Sometimes I will turn the last rinse water from warm to cool to finish.

Conditioner Only #1
This is the same as above except the step with shampoo is removed.

Conditioner Only #2
This is a quick version of CO #1 where I apply conditioner then rinse
right away without using a cap or waiting. I then re-apply conditioner
and rinse right away again. This is for when I'm not taking a bath but
just a shower.
I then rinse off conditioner with warm to hot water.
i was under the impression if you use hot or warm water on
conditioner, it strips it off your hair? That's why i use colder water
when rinsing out conditioner. Enlighten me someone?
Heat has the potential to make hair "warp". If exposed to a lot of heat, hair develops frizz or uneven drying patterns. I guess it could also rinse away the C. Great point Warm or cold water is the surest bet.
