QuoteReplyTopic: extensions on holiday suggestions plz! Posted: July 23 2005 at 8:49am
Hey girls,
Hope you can help!! I am off on my hols in 2 weeks time with my new hair extensions and am looking for some advice!..
My own natural hair is basically it is very thick, dry and coarse and when i leave it to dry itself it goes very curly, bushy, dry and frizzy and looks a complete mess so when i leave my hair to dry (with extenions) my own natural hair sits all boofy and yukky on top of my lovely extensions.. Thats ok here as i just need to whip out the dryer and GHD's and about an hour later it is lovely and sleek...
However, I am going on holiday where it is VERY humid and with no air con so drying and straightening is out the window as it just DOESN'T work!!
Previous years i have been forced to slick my hair back and tie ina knot at all times but A. I can't due this with my extensions due to the bonds and B. I wouldn't want to as want to show off my lovely long hair and not be stuck with a yukky slick back for 2 weeks.
Can anyone give me any suggestions??? All that i have came up with is perhaps using something like a sea salt spray to scrunch and hope for a nice wave but for starters don't know if i can use this on extensions and also don't know if it will blend in with my yukky natural hair on top!!!
Yea i think it would be best to wear it curly but as my natural hair dries in all boofy, dry and VERY curly and my extensions dry in all lovely and wavy can anyone recommend me any products which i can use to make my hair evenly curly all over so my boofy hair on top will blend in?? (if that makes any sense at all)??
I have wefts in at the moment and I put my hair up in a ponytail for work all the time. Mabey you could take out the wefts that are making this impossible to do?
What about a fall or clip on for part of your hair?
I use Bedazz Shock Therapy or Material Texture to keep the poof tame.

What about using a de-frizzing serum on your natural hair and then using a curl enhancing product on the extensions, then blow dry using a diffuser and scrunch the heck out of the extensions to match your natural hair. Or as it is air drying, scrunch and play with the hair to get more of a curl out of it.
