OK so I just got my Fina hair and it has the same feel as my RK :( I went back to an a site that was posted awhile ago and I think this hair is striped of it's cuticle. There is one part of this arcicle where thay talk about Remy hair (aka cuticle hair) That is usually striped but still maintains the root direction so it would be root to tip still. As opose to hair that has been stripped and no longer root to tip. That would explain alot because it just feels very diferent not silky. I think I will stick to EP and Bohyme so far no luck with this Indian hair. The site is http://www.haircompounds.com/articles.htm I think I will get there price list but I bet it's expensive. Take a look at what they say about washing non cuticle hair and there products it's interesting and imformative.
Hand Weft Charge = $25 per ounce, Micro weft = $4.00 per inch
Platinum Blond = Blond price + $10 for up to 18” length and $20 for 20” length and up
Natural Tight Curly = Additional $20 for 10-13” lengths and $30 for 14-17” lengths

Hi mocha, I'm not sure about wether it would take off the shells or not the RK gets colored and still has nits so maybe only the nit comb will get those. All I do know is there is a feel to this hair that just is not the same as lets say the pony I cut off a client. It has a sticky feel. I washed mine today air dryed and it just feels like "yuck". iIt combs out nice when wet but not when dry I have tryed many diferent conditioners and eaven clairafying shampoo then conditioner and allways the same back in the pony.
I also have hair from fina's supplier. I have no nits in the hair, and after conditioning it looks great. It is natural human hair, so the cuticle is intact.
For the RK Hair, I am not sure, if the cuticle is intact
Single drawn virgin Indian remy has probably never seen a drop of
conditioner in its life.
I have seen some pretty gnarly wefts bounce right back into
gorgeous bundles after a wash and a deep condition or two.
Here's what I do...
Trim off all the dead ends. Keep the hair bound and put it in a sink of
warm water with a couple drops of olive oil and swish it around a bit.
Let it sit for about 30-60 minutes. Shampoo (squeeze it through the
hair, never roughing it up), rinse and then deep condition. Fill the
sink again with warm water, put the weft in there with the conditioner
still on it and let it sit in the water again like that for 30-60 minutes.
Rinse, repeat once more if necessary.
God Amm I hope that works because I have alot of this hair!!! The stuff on my head I will have to find another way with out loosing all my shrinks. What about the smell the Fina hair has this awfull smell that three shampoos and conditioner did not take out. I did finds nits in Fina and RK not many in Fina's and just peices of the shell.
