I have Great Length installed, and boy, my scalp is itching.  Dont think it has anything to do with GL, but since I couldnt wash my hair for 3 days(per my stylist), and my scalp gets itchy every so often, now I just wanna scratch!!

So scratching is a NONO now that i have full head of GL, I suppose, so anyone has good advice for itchy scalp?

My head was pretty itchy when I had my shrinkies in. I used a rat tail comb when I had one handy, because it goes to a fine point, it doesn't pull on the strands at all. Other times I just got my nails in there and gently scratched! I think itchy scalp comes with the territory of extensions.

Apple cider vinegar is your answer for itchies.

1/2 to 3/4 cup vinegar diluted with about 1/2 cup warm water. Pour over your scalp in the shower and let it sit. Shampoo and condition as normal. If you don't mind the smell of it, use it after a shampoo and condition and rinse out with warm water.

Apple cider vinegar restores pH and also breaks down previous build up of shampoos and conditioners amongst a thousand other things.

Thanks for all the suggestions, you guys are great!!

I do use something pointy during the day.  The problem is at nite while me have no control over what me doing

My scalp was so itchy last nite while sleeping, I must have scratched quite a bit.  It feels like it is getting worse by the second.

I am going to the supermarket to get the apple cider vinegar and do it tonite, can I not shampoo at all if i dont mind the smell?  Because I want to do it tonite and usually I shampoo in the morning.

Club, i am going to get that looper brush anyway to brush my hair, but just curious how does it help with itching?

Thanks again guys!!

Maybe you are allergic to the GL bond material?  I have heard of this before, although it's not common.
