Its nothing major guys- just wanted to let y'all know I added a few more pics to the album. I'm 12 weeks post relaxer and I can't wait to relax... I am itching y'all! I started off straightening my hair with the FHI-- but I only ended up doing the front right quadrant so the rest is still poofy at the roots and a little down the shaft. My bathroom just started getting hot and the kids were crying--so I did what I could.
If you don't already have the pw-- just send me a pm and I'll hit ya up!

I believe you! I'm just about 13 weeks post and I put my hair in 2 buns. On the outside it's nice and smooth, but look in the inside and you might scream!!! LOL!!!
When do you plan on relaxing again?

I stalk your album like a psycho. I may be obsessed. Your hair is amazing!
Your hair is looking good girl...I use to stretch my relaxers ( I
didn't even know it was stretching until after I started transitioning)
you can see how my hair use to be in my transitioning pics.
Sistaslick, what hair type are you? I find that now at 13 weeks I have a ton of newgrowth that is soooo thick it would be hard to go more than a month past this point. My hair is holding up well except for alittle shedding. My newgrowth is so strong that when I straightened it to manage it better, it reverted back to almost the same state about an hour later!!! I try to comb as less as possible, but at this point for me to look halfway decent it's a must. I've never purposely stretched to 13 weeks before.

I want to get healty hair, but I am not sure how to do it. People say it is healthy for the most part but I want the best. When you strech a relaxer, what are the results. My hair is crazy thick so in between relaxers should I pree it or flat iron. Help a sista out!!!!

I am 4a
I've found that the longer I stretch the more I end up having to do my conditioner washes. I think I am washing just about every other day now with this newgrowth. I cannot comb through my hair once its dried-- so I usually have to spray on some type of moisture to soften and detangle--(I'm currently doing a water, S-curl, Suave milk and honey, coconut oil mix) in order to smooth it back into a bun or something. The key here is some type of moisture-- whether its the spray mix or a wash.
and tiff... stretching relaxers just decreases the amount of chemical you and your hair are being exposed to. So instead of relaxing 7-8 times a year (every 6-8 weeks) you are relaxing only, well in my case, 3 times a year. I aim for 20 weeks but if I can get to 16-18 then I'm good! It also cuts down on the overlapping when you do relax. I am a self relaxer, so I really need as much "buffer" as possible.
You're hair looks great! I wish my hair grew as fast as yours does!
I have a few questions for you since I'm thinking of relaxing my hair. hehe
How long does it take you to style your hair in the morning? And how
often do you have to redo it? It takes me about 30 minutes to blowdry
and 10 to run an iron over it.
Also, since you've had your hair relaxed, do you just have to run an iron over it? Or do you still have to set or blowdry it?
What kind of relaxer do you use? Are you ever able to wear your hair
curly? I had mine relaxed with wellastrate super (I was an idiot!) last
year and it was soo straight I couldn't get any of my curls :( But
about 3 months later, I had all my lovely curls back. My natural hair
kinda looks like yours did when you had the bantu knots in it.
The main reason I want to have my hair straightend is cuz if I blowdry
it myself, it gets quite straight but it tends to go frizzy by the end
of the night esp if I'm out dancing. Do you find that relaxed hair
tends to have less frizz?
Sorry I'm asking all these questions!!! I want to get all the info before I do it! And I thought you'd be the person to ask!
