Hi everyone!

This is my first post here..although I have been lurking for a couple of months. Maybe all you experts here could give me some feedback:

In May, I cut my 16' hair into an A-line bob for the summer.  Although I had my fun with it, I miss my long hair dreadfully.  I have been researching both these extension systems, yet I don't really know anyone who has had them.

Is the Cinderella hair at all comparable? There is a person hair locally(I live in a rural little town) who installs it. She charges $900, the place I consulted with (3hrs away) for Great Lengths was $1600.  I know you get what you pay for , but I just want to get past this funky grow out stage for a few months and it kills me to pay over a grand for three months of wear.

Another question  is because my hair is just now 3 inches and has this bobbed cut a little choppy in back..will it look silly..will you see the demarcation line when it is installed?

thanks so much for any feedback

Bob haircuts are very hard to cover with extensions.  You really have to pile on the extension hair to cover that blunt line to get a realistic blend.  It doesn't help that your hair is short either.

I have found that I can more successfully disguise a bob type haircut with a wefted method of extensions, as opposed to a strand method.  Wefts create a 'curtain' of hair, thus giving better coverage to hair that's short and has blunt lines.

Hi, This is my first time posting as well.  I have been wearing my hair bonded or sewn in for three years now.  My hair grew out tremendously and I decided I wanted to cut it again.  I know sounds crazy.  Well I just finished wearing a sew in my hair is getting longer and the braids are starting to get bulky.  I have been toying with the idea of fushion.  I also consulted someone today about the hairloc method.  I think she said she uses metal or and its strand by strand.  I saw a sign that advertised Cinderella extentions and I don't even know what that is yet.  Finally, my question is what is the best method that won't damage my hair. Can someone suggest something!

Thanks for the replies everyone!

I actually made a consult with the Great Lengths extensionist  on Monday..soo excited.  Yes Metalgirl, i know what you mean about the bob being hard to blend in(btw,i love reading your posts!!). A friend tried some of those cheap Lord and Cliffe extensions when my hair was shorter.  It looked like a had a Joe Dirt mullet!!

Hopefully this person(who has been doing it for years will know how to blend)  I will tell you all how it went on Monday..  Any key questions i should ask?

thanks,

k

Joe Dirt mullet!  Yikes!

To get the extensions to blend, you need to have a lot of hair added and put them as high up on the head as you can disguise.

Good Luck!
