does anyone know of a stylist in either Kansas or Missouri (Im  willing to travel! ) who is experienced with different types of extensions? Ive spent the whole weekend reading this forum and feel pretty confused. all I know for sure is that 1. I dont want chemicals of any kind used. 2. I dont want heat used. 3. I want human hair. what Ive been able to come up with so far is that pinchbraiding ( I have very very thick hair) or something like hairlocs might be good. but I hear hairlocs is very expensive and I cant afford thousands to have the extensions put in. I know I will have to spend probably around $700 to have them put in and then hoping around $150 for maintenance every 3 months or so ? Im really looking for someone who cares and isnt just about the money. any leads for Kansas or Missouri, or even Arkansas or Iowa ? ( Im in Missouri but not far from Iowa or Arkansas ) Thanks so much !!!!

Oh boy. I think I'm actually the closest person to you, and I'm in Chicago! (There's also Atlanta and Houston, but I think those are farther away.) In any case, I do pinchbraids and microring weaves, human or synthetic hair, and I charge less than $400 for just about any service, including the cost of the hair. You could fly to Chicago for maybe $100, stay at a hotel, and fly out the next morning, and still come out a few hundred bucks ahead. :) I guess you could drive here too- I've had clients drive in from St. Louis before.

You can see my portfolio, and read about what methods I do, at my webpage: http://www.hairalchemy.com
