I so love this site already! I stumbled upon it last night and I couldn't take my eyes off all the info!

I currently have track extensions and have had them on and off for years. Then I briefly tried a tube like method (you guys have all the names down and I do not!) on my sides only but they slipped out way too much! Now I have been searching for something new and I need help. My friend swears by something called "Dream Hair" but I can't find info on that?? Anyone know? And I've never heard of pinchbraids and those look very cool and not damaging? Never heard of ... oh no, I've forgotten what you guys are calling them...squishies or something? Ha! I know thats wrong!

Anyway, any advice or info would be so helpful! The girl who braids my hair now (and for years) is the kind who believes it has to be tight and has to hurt to stay!! And my dyed blonde hair is soooo fried!

Thanks everyone!

squishies !  That gave me a much needed chuckle!

I think you mean 'shrinkies', which is a strand method that adheres to the hair via a small piece of shrink tubing.

See www.shrinkies.net for all your shrinkies needs.

Pinchbraids are great.  They are a method created/perfected by www.hairpolice.com

Yes, Dream Hair is a fusion technique, but beyond that, I don't know if it's good, bad, or otherwise.  As a professional extensionist, I personally am not fond of fusion because of potential shedding problems or getting glue out of the hair, but a lot of people do like fusion a lot.

Good luck!

Hi Haircrazed, I agree with Tangles.  You can find their webside here: www.hairdreams.com . I assume it is much more expensive than having tracks sewn in. (Was that the method you are wearing?)I am using shrinkies from shrinkies.net and I think they are great for Diyers. Metalgirl posted the link already.

thank you so much for the replies and the links! I have looked into both and am close to setting an appt for the pinchbraids! Does anyone have a personal experience with them? They look and sound so much better on the natural hair?

Or does anyone know anyone in the SF area that does them?
