I want to get extensions in my hair, but Im not sure what kind I need or where to get them! I want long curly extensions. I want to achieve the look joss stone has (you can see it when you log onto the site today). I want them put in using a braiding method. Meaning I want the hair braided out an inch from my scalp and then let loose and flowing. I began looking for synthetic monofiber hair because curly human hair has an odor from chemical processing when it gets wet. I can't find monofiber hair so im not sure what to get. I want the hair to come already curled or body waved and I want the curl to stay even after its gotten wet. I also want to be able to wash the hair three times a week or so without it becoming ratty. I live in the Bay area of california. Does anyone know what brand of hair I need, if it comes already curly, and where to get it? Also, is there a glue thats safe to glue the ends of the braid together with my own hair (I need glue or something to hold the braids in as my hair is kind of fine and the braid will slip out without something to hold it in) without damaging my hair and then safely getting it out again? Thanks for any help anyone can give me!

If you go to www.hairpolice.com in there affiliate directory there is a girl in San Francisco who does pinch braids, which sounds like the technique that you are looking for.

As for hair you can get curly monofiber from www.plastikhaar.com

Also Prohair has curly monofiber, but I don't think the general public can order from them.

With the pinch braid method you should not need to use glue to keep the braid in.  Pinch braids stay in with tied string, and trust me, they are the most secure method that I know!

I do pinch braids ( as well as the Prohair method) , but I am located about 30 miles NW of Sacramento, and that's a bit out of your way.

Good luck!
