QuoteReplyTopic: Cool Client referral! But Need Help! Posted: January 22 2006 at 10:26pm
I just want to say thanks to all of you guys for all of your help!!!
Here is the story.....
I have a client performs as lead singer in a band. Friday night she went into the restroom, to find a lady fighting and fussing over her sewn in wefts. My client politely introduced herself and asked her how long she had been wearing extensions. The lady replied, "for years."
The lady then continued to tell her that she was buying a lake house in the area and would have to find someone to do her hair. My client showed her extensions and the lady was shocked that she even had extensions. I thaught that was cool considering my client had been on stage all night giving it hell. She asked for my number and said she would give me a call.
The lady called tonight and was on her way to New York at the time and said she would be back in the area in two weeks to close on her new house and wanted to book for that week. Cool!!!
So here is my problem. She gets her hair done in California and uses Bohyme. She doesn't know the color or the length. Currently she only has 1 bag of hair in. She said it was a blend of reds, mostly dark. She only buys one bag a year and her stylist reuses the hair.
How do I match her hair so that she only has to buy another bag?
She also said she has alot of breakage. She gets them tightened every 6 weeks and a reinstall every 12 weeks. She never goes without her extensions!!! What do I need to look for before doing her install with shrinkies?
She has had some balding previously, small sores, severe headaches within the first two weeks after install, and braids are large between the crown and occiptal bone (about 1 inch in width), and very uncomfortable to sleep on. I think she would love shrinkies!!
She is obviously aware of the bad side of hair extensions.
Sorry to sound stupid I have just never had to deal with braids before on caucasion hair.
That's great that you were given such a good referral. =)
It sounds like shrinkies may be a good option for her.
I could be wrong, but in my experiences, the only Bohyme blend I have found that has dark reds in it is the color #30/33 mix. I have looked for other red mixes in bohyme, but this has always been the only one I could find. Perhaps this is the color she needs?
