For your next hair, I have one word for you and that is PROTAC BONDING STRIPS. I'll even send you one so you can see for yourself that this is truly the Holy Grail for the DIY gal. Or the gal like me that can't take it anymore and has to be able to put in/take out hair on command - no waiting for appointments. I'm no longer trapped in the iron maiden of hair appointments nor enslaved by the capricious behavior of fusion bonds, cornrows, and pinchbraids.

Thanks so much Jenny for the kind words, I appreciate it! Over all, I'm feeling 1000 times better than I was in Oct-Dec. I do have some residual problems though, like decreased sensation over most of my body and then severe aches in my forearms, hands, and legs. The ache thing isn't constant, it comes and goes, and I have found that red wine is a wonderful medicinal tool!

Pinchbraids + Shrinkies sounds divine--like you'd never get any
slippage at all. I'll have to look into this Protac. I originally read
that as "Prozac," and I was like, "Oh, no--what's happening on the

Hi there Jenny, we've bloody missed your input, sometimes this board has gone off the rails lol, have you thought about this new protac, I've been using it on all my short haired clients with great effect, you can put it so far up, its unreal lol.

Amm also has some wonderful virgin indian hair with some great curl in her elite line, Amanda did an AMAZING install on a client with balding hair, and Kristen has some lovely-looking pretipped nail hair which Im dying to try.
My hairs also finally growing out as well. its still short but now covers shrinkies, its at about 5 - 6 inches long. At the moment I have amms hair in, but Ive cut it to match my own length, it now is short but thicker with a buttload of highlights in it. I'll be posting pics once I get some makeup on to cover the bags under my eyes
Plastichaar also has a new curly line, but so far no one has tried it. It really looks lovely but I imagine the curl would fall as it would on any other plastichaar, and because the curlier the hair the rougher it seems to have been, Im wondering how that holds up as well. Im going to be trying it soon though sometime after my trip to norway in a couple weeks.
Im finally getting over my "I hate human hair" thing though, as the quality of hair lately from Amm, Kristen and Amanda has somewhat restored my faith in the whole matter, but Im still not ready to totally give up synth.

Great to see you around again.Sorry to hear about your hair.
As far as whats going on.Protac seems to be whats hot right now.Amms site and californiakristins sites are looking and doing great. Lush hair is great.Some people seem to have problems realted to weather and the way its cared for.But I'm happy with it.Plus its one of the few types of hair thats problems arent based around how light the colors are.
The only new technique I can think of is the one Kalika came up with to cover a pinchbraid with a shrinkie.
