QuoteReplyTopic: LUSH dryness...solution??? Posted: February 20 2006 at 6:05pm
I have a few clients who are trying very hard to combat the dryness of this hair. I was told by someone that Redken's "total recharge" would greatly improve the cuticle and make the hair much stronger and less tangly...is this even possible once it gets so dry? Anyone have experience with Redken "total recharge"???
Im sure ive heard you mension you advise your clients to use Pureology products? If so i don't have experience with these products. I find that a conditioner with Silione can make anything smooth and look good imo (well its always worked for me)
How dry is this hair?
I like Pantene pro v smooth & sleek conditioner or Matrix best

Pureology products do work VERY well and are daily products, as well as "repair" products...This Redken "total recharge" claims to actually strengthen the cuticle from within?????...
It was my understanding that siliicones will make the hair possibly "feel" better but does nothing to the actual structure that is lasting...I was wondering if perhaps this "total recharge" really makes a long-term difference....

Redkin procducts are really great, I would imagine it would work, but I
haven't actually tried that one. The Redkin Extreme Moisture shampoo
and conditioner is what I used daily, it worked really well, I don't know if
it would "repair"
Like shel said, I love the pantene sleek and smooth. It might just be
making it look and feel better, but it really makes it look and feel
amazing!! Also, again, the putting herbal essence tip conditioner on the
length, then comb through and braid it at night. Over a few nights, this
will make a HUGE difference.
Sorry I don't know more about the total recharge.

pureology has a new line out- nana works, it works good, so does amms lush milk- that stuff rocks. my own hair has been dry due to cali weather, and i used the lush milk on it and it works very very good.
redken total recharge is also a good option, however i would use the nana works on it first.

Tangles - I personally have used the Nanoworks and like it. It is expensive and I want to find some less pricey options for one particular client...she's already using Pureology hydrate... Thanks for your thoughts on the Redken "total recharge"....
Hi, I'm new
here, but wanted to say that when I got a bad batch of hair, that
became extremely dry, I put olive oil on the hair over night and slept
in a sleeping cap. I washed and conditioned with Redkin
products. It worked great for alleviating the dryness.
Koffee, yes, I just checked the bottle and thats the one. When I wash my hair I only condition the bottom half, then I use the Silk conditioner on my whole head.
