I've heard texlaxed used often.  I just wanted to know what it was and in what state does it leave the hair? What hair type benefits from it?  Thanks.

I've heard this a lot around the boards also and I have no idea what it is so I'd like to know too.  I'm imagining it's between texturized and relaxed (more than texturized but less than relaxed, lol) but that's just a wild guess.  I'm probably so wrong.

its texterizing your hair with a relaxer. bascially you put on your hair to loosen the curls in your hair.
Hair Type- 4a/b *transitioning front of my head*
Length-ranges from 5-7 inches =)
Products- Garnier Fructis S & S Poo, Lustrasilk Shea Butter Mango Conditioner and Cantu-Leave in =)

Deexox, that's what my stylist does. I LOVE it....It's kinky enough to do a lot of the natural styles, and kinky enough so that if I decide not to do it anymore, the new growth won't be obvious (which is why I only do it twice a year).

But it's straight enough that I can EASILY blow dry it straight or flat iron it.

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT.

I would recommend this over a straight relaxer ANY day.

Hair type: who knows?
Length: 23 inches as of 3/10/06
MY HAIR IS OFFICIALLY BRA STRAP LENGTH!!
Goal: Waist Length, which is only 30 inches so
ADVISE ME ON HOW TO GET JUST 7 MORE INCHES OF GROWTH!

I'm scared of ever using  another chemical in my hair  I've had some bad experiences my whole life!  The last 6 months have been okay with the mixture of both textures (relaxed and natural)  Lets see how the next 6 months go and if I'm on the board crying for my Affrim kit again!
Natural since March 2006

Well I guess I supposedly have almost always underprocessed my hair during relaxers, seeing as though I do them at home and was told not to let them sit(?) in your  hair longer than indicated on the product.  I brought up the topic of underprocessing on the board, and was told this was called texturizing.  My stylist told me that my hair is most likely stronger because of this so I definitely am happy about that.  I just slap the relaxer on the new growth..and rinse.  I do this about every 8.5 weeks... It is stronger in fact.

So basically it's another name for texturizing?  It sounds the same to me.
