Hello!

My boyfriend gave me a container of American Crew Pomade to try on my hair and it works great. It is a men`s hair care product. Will this damage my hair in the long run? I`d like to try the shampoo and conditioner but am afriad that because it is a men`s product, it will do strange things to my hair.....

Hi Jennifer. Use American Crew all you want. The ingredient in this particular line`s products are nearly identical to those in women`s salon products. There is no biological difference between men and women`s hair, except that women`s tend to be more porous and dry since we tend to color/process/stress ours more. So as long as this pomade works for you don`t give it up just because it`s a "guy" thing. The only reason American Crew is a male line is because it is marketed as such, with a masculine smell and look. Chemically, they are perfectly suitable for hair of either sex. Hope this helps!
