Okay here's my problem:

When I wash my hair it destroys my waves and I gotta start over again. Now you cats talk about washing every other day and what not. I cant do that b/c I'll never have waves.

I have to pile pomade on my hair and it STILL doesn't lay down the way its supposed to. One of my goons was saying I should either buy a new shampoo (I used Suave) or rub the grease in with my fingertips. Right now I smooth the grease down with my palms, I don't know if either makes a big difference.

I've tried all products and the most effective is red can Dax and Ice Pomade. At night I rub Ice Pomade in first and then once it's a bit wet I put in Dax, brush, durag, bed. I get a decent shine, but my hair still waves mostly on the back, NOT the top much. I've tried every other brand and I only use Dax b/c its the thickest, with the others my hair is still frizzy and sticks up. Today I bought Murray's, S-Curl Wave Activator and this expensive Shae Butter shampoo and conditioner in place of what I use now to see if I get better results.

Funny thing is I used to have nice spinners back in High School years back, then I cut them off and I had a ceasar for a few years. I've been trying to my waves for the past year and it just ain't the way it's supposed to be. Back then I just used Vaseline and water and my spinners were right, but that definitely wont work now!

I've read all the posts on here and see the different techniques. Now looking at my technique what am I doing wrong?!

this is a very common problem. first of all ur applin way too much pomade. i would focus on conditioning the hair wit a good moisturizer(e.g.carrot cream) and then focus on the brushin. ur waves temporarily dissapear when wahing hair if ur waves aren't trained..but they're still there as ur hair grows out u'll notice them comin back. as u train ur waves better shampooing hair won't hav any affect on ur waves and u'll see them right afta washin. i also suggest that u brush ur hair in da shower while washin hair in direction of wave pattern.(wtg)

Okay b/c back in the day I didnt even need much pomade! I used carrot creme for awhile and it still was very frizzy, but I'll try it again. It the Ice Pomade AND Dax too much? When I use both that when my hair looks its best (even though its not that good compared to ya'll cats)

After washing hair, your bound to not see all ur waves if ur hair aint trained. In that respect jus brush hair till it dries. Then use wateva product, but if pomade just use a little. Grow ur hair for a month and continue 2 brush no matter wat. If u aint brushing, wear that du rag or stocking cap. If u continue  2 do this, ur hair will become trained 2 lay down {happened 2 me}. U jus need 2 continue brushing fam. They will come

Carrot Creme no doubt. Never ever will touch that ice pomade, from when i heard it can burn your scalp.
