As if blatant advertising isn't bad enough, she's charging $3.50 US
dollars a strip! (And another $5.20 for shipping!) That price is a
250% markup from what it is being sold for elsewhere.
I used to buy the stuff myself at �3 a strip,I have had alot of inquiries about this so other people must of been being ripped off too so I think the price is not too bad, or you find people who sell it cheaper charge alot for postage. .
you mean like �3 for something that would cost about 30p to send, then?
At HB.com we are currently in the process of upgrading the HairTalk messageboards to prevent these types of free ad notices in the future. I try to remove them as quickly as possible but they pop up so fast it is hard to keep up with the deleting, deleting.
The new software is much, much faster which should help with loading. We also can detect when links are added that have not been approved (so that means any new advertising links) and there are several other features that will help a lot.
It is taking about one month to test everything but we hope to upgrade in the next 2 weeks or so. I have a new admin guy - Andrew - responsible for the HairTalk boards and he is testing everything completely (fingers crossed).
So soon the advertising should be controlled better.
