I found a website someone made a weft using c*cking, it looked really easy. If it held together well would you be able to use it in the pro-tac tape or would it slip right out (I am assuming the c*cking is slick when it dries.) If this link dont work I found it under the heavenly hair posts under tutorials.

The word you want is actually "caulking." I'd love for someone to try
this with human hair and see if it holds. The other thing I'd be
concerned about is if the material in the caulk is biocompatible--is it
safe to wear for weeks against one's own skin?

I'm still chuckling about "c*cking" the hair. That would be another
thing entirely, wouldn't it???

if you had it in the pro-tac tapes it would not be touching your head I may have to give it a try next week

Protac tape is designed with little holes to allow the bond to breathe,
and the tape breaks down over time as you wear it. Whatever holds
together the weft would still make some contact with your scalp. I'm
concerned that a substance made to use on a sink or toilet might be
toxic on a human head.

Would liquid gold hold the hair together in a weft if you used a lot of it in the same manner?

I just had another quick question does the fusion chips work as well as using LG for pretipping or would I be wasting my money on them?

The fusion chips work great for pre tipping.  I find them less messy than the LG.

i don't think that the caulk would hold in protac.  there's lots of different kinds of caulks but almost all of them either:
A) don't stick to anything, as a matter of fact they repel everything, paint, mold, mildew, etc.
B) require a caustic chemical catalyst that you don't want anywhere near your head
what I'm wearing: 1 pkg 18" DLux SS #2 and protac

I wonder if using something like the E6000 or Gorilla glue then coating it in nail glue might work.  I was thinking along these lines when I pretipped my own plastikhaar.  I didn't have any to waste so I couldn't experiment.

Anyone feel like experimenting a bit?

maybe if, after you coat the hair in silicone, you can add a layer of "tooth" to it.  maybe stick some sort of fabric mesh to it or something.

Ha Ha I tried the LG last night and it kind of pulled apart (I dont think I let it dry long enough) I would be afraid to brush it and have hunks fall out. (I like to glue wefts into my hair.) I did put some nail glue over it and it worked really well. One good thing about this the wefts are so thin that you would not be able to see them in the hair with thin or short hair like mine because no bulk
