Is this the same thing as a "blowout"? Basically just getting the temples and the back tapered or is it a lil different? Any of you get it?

Naw a blowout in brooklyn is wen u have a afro. You wash and blow it out with a blowdryer. A fade is wen ya hair is dark at the top and lightens up as you approach the sides and back of ya hair. It Fades. Fades went out in da 90s

Na but I know the "Brooklyn" fade is different than a regular fade, it's a newer style.

I thought all fades were the same i remember in da 90s i used to tell my barber give me a fade

the regular fade in tha 90's known as the uptown fade. it was where you left mo hair on da top. then use a different lenght guard to create a fade look on the bottom half.

 
the BK fade IS different. its not really a fade but looks like it. the guards used are called taper "left" and taper "right" the fade starts from your sideburns up thru tha temple area and back just below tha crown of ya head repeating the fade thru to ya otha sideburn n temple.

Yo u 3...any or u got tips on doin the taper urself? I keep messin mine up. I was jus thinkin go a guard lower than ur cut...wut do u guys do?
