I agree with everything said, but I have also seen wefts cause bald spots and thinning hair too. Some hair is just not strong enough to support any kind of extension. In that case, I'd recommend clip ins.
I have thin hair and I've managed to achieve tons of volume with single strand methods - both with pinchbraids and fusion. It's all dependent on how much hair you add, not on the method.
This is true, you CAN achieve volume on thin hair with single strand methods, and I DID it for along time. But over the long haul you are going to experience some damage if you keep adding more weight to the individual strand than you have natural hair to support it.
With individual strand methods, the 'ideal' install is having equal amounts of extension hair and natural hair in each bond. You can add a little more extension hair than natural hair without putting stress on the natural hair. But if you add 'dramatically' more extension hair vs. natural hair per bond to achieve alot of volume you can risk damage.
With wefts, you can easily double the wefts to achieve volume. The wefts are attached to more hair making it more secure. The weight is more evenly distributed and better supported.
It's all dependent on how much hair you add, not on the method.
I have thin hair and used the individual strand method and could never get much volume, I tried adding more hair to get more volume and it started to break my hair off because my hair could not take it.
I get plenty of volume from the wefts, seems better on my thin hair also.

I have thin hair as well and for the most previous installs I have been using wefts and LG. I have used pro tac as well. I have also done just about every individual method and would never go back to them.
The results are not near as nice on thin hair. You will never get the volume you want.

Individuals wont give you as much volume. If you attach them as intended, equal amounts of natural hair and extension hair. I have thin hair and could never get the volume I wanted out of any individual method.
