True, I thought it was just me. I wonder what salons offer it and how much they charge? It looks interesting but I don't think something like that can be learned from a dvd or video. i would think you need hands on instruction for that.

It might be easy to do, but if you can't reuse the hair there's no point.
That loop thread; how do you girls think it's attached to the bond? Once we figure that out, it shouldn't be too hard to figure out the rest.
I just really like the invisibility of the system. Especially on the top of the head... .

Can anyone provide insight on how much this microchet (is this also called shrink links?) extension technique sheds? I have been told that this is much better than fusion but want advice before I make a change. I've hud fusion for two installs right now and am getting tired of losing a significant amount of hair each day. There is another stylist in my area with shrink links and I really liked her when I went for a consultation.

the microchet and shrink links are two differnt techniques. The microchet strands have a thin loop(some type of thread ?) at the top of the strand that is weaved in with a crochet needle. The shrink links or shrinkies are a small clear heat shrink tube, a heat wand is used to shrink the tube around the natural and extension hair.
Good point, but it looks like the little hooked is done through manufacturing. Now as far as doing the actual process i bet we could mimic it, maybe we should order a video or does someone own one?

I contacted Mr Oh last year about this method and the dvd he had available he said that a lot of people where having problems understanding the video and that he would be redoing it. I don't know if he sells the dvd without buying the kit. I tried to tell him I didn't want invest in a kit if I couldn't do it and that was the end of the conversation because he remention the problems with the dvd or that I needed to come in for his class.
I have nothing against any race, but it is hard trying to understand their english. I purchase an interlocking video from Hair Factory and had to watch it over and over again until I could make out the words. The way it looked on the video looked easy, buy it wasn't descriptive enough for me. I said I wasn't purchasing anymore video's because they just don't make them descriptive enough, it seems as if something is missing or everything is not explained to a "T"
i met with mr charles- he actually found me and stopped on in, he is a very nice man, he quickly showed me how to do it and it looked so awesome and easy that i bought the hair and some supplies. when it came time for me to actually do it, it really didnt work all that well for me. i actually ended up selling it all to someone on the boards.
it is a I tip strand of hair with a tiny and i mean tiny little loop attached to the tip. you are then supposed to take some of the clients hair and pull it thru the loop then wrap it or something and then it knots around the hair.
after it grows out and u need to do maintance, you cut off the tiny loop and can install the hair with a microcylinder.
my feeling is if i need to use the clyinder for maintance, then i might as well start with it, so there u have it
