Oh Sammys this is terrible, I feel absolutely terrible for you.
Did you talk to your hairdresser about that?
I guess everyone has different reactions depending to their nature of hair and the methods used but OMG I have never heard of such story. I feel so bad for you.
Maybe you can get a front lace wig, it is not of much comfort but you'll find a link posted recently on the forum about that.
Hopefully your hair will get better in a few months

I'm so so sorry that happened to you. I'm sure it must seem like a nightmare right now. Lace front is an awesome idea frenchie1! Try not to pick anymore at the glue if there is any left in your head and have your hairdresser remove the rest. Possibly take something for the itch?

Hi again Sammys,

If you hair is as bad as you say, I woudn't recomment that you rush to get a wig. I think finding the right wig for you takes time and patience and you shouldn't necessarily go to the hairdresser next door, you might end up even more depressed if all you see is ugly or doesn't fit you. I would recommend you to take sick days -after all if it's allergy you got, it's your body reacting- and spend 2 or 3 full days looking around for the best thing for you. Can you wear a hat of a scarf on your head for this hunt? Pretend you converted to islam! Anyway, I wish you good luck for you recovering, and also another little advice, get some special vitamins to increase the growth of your hair.

Good luck and keep us posted!

so sorry about your bad experience.... my first salon install was not the greatest experience either! Be sure not to do anymore pulling - you don't want to cause any more damage & call the person that did the install & explain the situation ---> get them removed ( maybe get your hair plan in line first/ wig, new DIY install )

Get a good wig you're happy with and don't get discouraged--your hair will grow back faster than you think. Exactly a year ago I had a very short crop (think maybe 1 1/2 inches) and my hair was so thin my scalp showed through. I got a few wigs and wore them about six months, then had enough hair for Protac extensions. I couldn't tell from your post whether you've tried these, but I've worn them constantly now for six months and my hair is down past my collar in the back and past chin-length on the sides and is thick and in perfect shiny health! I know I wouldn't have had the patience to grow it out had I not had those trusty wigs for the first and hardest period of the grow-out.

(As a sidenote, as of yesterday I only have one double track of wefts in to give me a little length and fullness around the sides and back. It is SO cute, and my head feels lighter than air. I'll post pics once I've been to my stylist for a trim.)

Sammys......

The EXACT thing happened to me!!  I am DEVESTATED!!!  Emotionally i cant take them out!  During each install.............once a month...........is total trauma!!!  I had very fine hair to begin with...............im taking a great vitamin for hair growth, nails and skin!  My hair is growing.......but it is the thiness (virtually no hair) that is killing me!  Not only is it short, but very very very very thin!  If i get them out and have it styled..........i wont have any hair on my head!!  I blame myself................my hairdresser #$#$@@@$@$@ my hair up, so i found someone else to do the extensions.  Not very many people in my area.  Anywayz............i can totally sympethise with you.  I know it's hair and hair grows back............but in the meantime???????  Take care.

Wow, Sammys, what an adventure!
It feels unfair that some of us are so happy w/ our extensions and other are so unlucky.
Maybe it's a skin/scalp reaction to the glue used. I have been thinking, when you hair grows back again, try to make yourself some clip ins, maybe it'll help you feel better and will feel better than a wig.
It's probably one of the most gentle hair extension method you can find!
Easy for me to say, but try to think, it's just a matter of time.
Take care
