Hi, I have had a cowlick for a long time and throught the years, I have been using basic hair gel to "flatten" it and hold it down.
Now, I am starting to become annoyed by it. I want to not have to use gel on my hair every single morning when I wake up to go to school. Whenever I wake up, this clowlick on the crown area of my head is always messy and sticking up. I pretty much have no option but to use gel if I am going out somewhere.
I was told that to use a lot of hair conditioner would help... is that true?
Also, are there any other suggestions that you may have that could help me deal with this cowlick? I have pretty thick hair, and I am even contemplating growing it out so that it is long to see if that changes anything, but again, I have thick hair and I'm not sure how it would look if it were long.
The only cures I know of are gel and growing it long, as you
said. When I had my hair ear length it still parted so it stuck
up and looked stupid, but once it got a few inches longer and the hair
was weighted down by itself, I haven't seen it since.
