Red hair with pink skin???

I have naturally dark drab blond hair. I`ve been coloring at home with Hydrience (the lightest blond they make) and am now a light golden blond. I`m not happy with the way it makes my hair look dry, or with the roots, and am seeing a pro this weekend and asking to go red (my dream color). Only problem is I have a lot of red in my skin (and light aqua eyes) - anyone have suggestions on a red that will NOT make me look like a clown, or with such pink skin, should I forget about red altogether?

Red`s the last thing you should go for. Reason is, pink skin and NATURAL redheads go together - well, naturally - i.e. as nature intended. IMO Pink skin with artificial red would therefore look doubly false.
