I am trying to go from blonde to red I was using Reken hair color 12gr which is called golden rose. It is a very pretty golden blonde. After a while the ends were looking a little too light blonde, so I thought I would try something different, which is going red - not a dark red, but a lighter red. It was suggested that I use matrix socolor # 7cg which is called dark copper golden blonde. It`s not a bad color, but too dark and too much of a copper color. So I tried socolor # 9cg which is light copper golden blonde, and I do like that ok. It`s a lot lighter and the color is pretty, but still it`s a copper blonde. I want a red color- not blonde. I am very light complected and have blue eyes, so I thought red would be a nice change. Any suggestions on what color to use? (p.s. I did get my dead ends cut so the color would do better) Thanks, piano 2001
Red hair and blue eyes, wow, so sexy! I hope you have short bangs to enhance your beatuiful eyes. Spend the money and get your hair coloured at a salon, they will have the right colour for you. Red rules!!!

Go to a store like Sally`s Beauty Supply. Buy a protein filler (for red hair), and use the filler each time you color. I mix a little filler with my haircolor. It helps the hair absorb the red. Use shampoo for red hair. I went from blonde to red, also about 4 months ago. I really like Loreal`s "Intense Red" RR06. I like the color I get for about a week, but then it washes out to a dull brownish red and I hate it. Blonde is boring for me. I would like to remain a redhead, but I`m frustrated with the color changes. Red is too much maintenance. I`ll be going back to blonde soon.
