another tip which i learned the hard way is: dont try to cut where your crown is that much, just barely trim it down. i messed up and it looked like i had a bald spot back there( like rasheed wallace).

i wont be wolfin for a period of 6 weeks bcause of Phys ed sweat f's up the waves and we cant wear rags or caps so i'll be cuttin my hair every 2 weeks.and that could help improve my barber skills so the most important thing to remember is to make sure ur hair is dry with no grease, water none of that ish hair should b nice n dry 4 the cut also dont directly start cutting your hair with the guard u want work ur way down to the desired guard so there is no slip ups. but n e wayur cut look good

alright just did the cut. used a 1/8" guard with the blade pulled back to add an extra 1/8" with the grain cut. washed and shampooed and pink lotion added. lost my right side when i cut it, but hopefully it should come back in a day or two.

i know the neck line looks pretty messy, cause i haven't reached to the barber yet, or gotten the courage to start messing with it!

I cut my own hair i used to get a cut every week some times twice a week at 10 a cut i gotta be fresh as much as possible so getting a trimmer was a good investment plus my ex was a beautician so i got some good tips. but anyway u gotta use the 1/8 guard and use the side nobe all the way back so u can have a better cut for your waves and like LDIZL said cut in the directions of your waves good luck homie

start practicing by just trimming... dont try to get an actual cut w/ a taper or nuthin lol... but yea start small and see if cutting your own hair is really for u.
