Ok so i got my D-Lux hair the other day and put it in straight away using shrinkies. The only thing is, is that i find that i can't keep the curl in it for longer than about an hour even when i clip the curls into place to cool they just dont stay in and when they drop i get just a kink at the bottom from where the hair has been in the tongs! and it goes all piecey, so if anyone has any suggestions it would be very helpful!

Anyway, apart from the curling thing the hair is LOVELY! I had to dye half of the hair because there was too much blonde so i dyed it to my colour, and the condition is still as perfect as the day i got it! I got the hair in silky straight, here is a pic of it straight after i curled it:

I think it looks GORGEOUS Samantha Jane!

Maybe you need a small barrel curling iron, what size are you using?

BEAUTIFUL! I really love the colors :)

I'm not much help for curling advice, mines naturally curly so its a rare occasion I use a curling iron. What Sherrie says sounds about right to me though?

You look sweet! Don't know about the curls, but Sherrie always knows what she talks about

Love the install, it's gorgeous!! I had exactly the same problem with my new hair, nothing worked until I had finally worn it long enough and now its a little rougher and holds the curl perfectly!!

you're beautiful!
some hair just doesnt like to be curled

did you use any products before hand to help hold the curl?
i like sally's silk elements heat protectant spray or the proclaim thermal styling spray as they both protect from the curling iron and helps hold the curl
lotta talkin 'bout hair n other stuff: http://www.diyextensions.net/

Thanks for the comments everyone! Big%20smile

mrswozzy that makes sense i s'pose when the hair has been worn for some time it will hold the curl better because at the moment it's still really new and silky.

Malibu, i did the shrinkies myself (sometimes the bf helps if im in a rush! lol)  they're the only method i actually feel comfortable with.

I think i do need to invest in a few good products because all i used was a bit of spray before i curled it to try and rough up the hair!

Also, i've been practising the GHD curls with the hair straighteners and they seem to last quite well, if anyone wants a nice big barrel curl.
