Yep 100% with both of you that you really need to see a Dr. to determine what is going on medically with your hair loss first. Get that squared away and then take it from there. Most typical extension methods are not going to be an option for you with medical hair loss as they actually clip into the hair itself so if you are losing it, it might cause more damage. And most reputable hair extension technicians can not in good faith do an install on you. Find out what is going on and then there are many, many other fantastic options for you which is the good news. Good options just different.

I agree with Diva. You need to see a doctor. There could be some health conditions causing your problems, for example, a change in your hormone level.  It could be something that's easily remedied with medication. I think something in the lacefront family or skinwefts would be your best option.

I would suggest you go see a medical doctor to determine the cause of the hair loss. You need to see if it is permanent or if it can be reversed..

Off the top of my head it sounds like a form of alopecia, and you are not alone.. I have a few friends who are suffering from various forms of alopecia as well.. Extensions are often not an option if you are truly suffering from any form of permanent hairloss..

However, the good news is there are some AMAZING options out there including lacefrontals and lacefront wigs.. My friends with hair loss issues all wear lacefront wigs, and you would NEVER know it if you saw them.. If applied properly, lacefront wigs look like the hair is growing from your head.. You might try doing some searching here for some of the past posts on both.. There is a current topic which covers lacefrontals.. There's a wig section here and there's a little information on lacefront wigs.. However, if you want to learn more about lacefront wigs I would suggest you check out the lacefront section on the BHM forum..

Hi.   I wanted to ask you guys a few questions.  I would really appreciate your time.  I know you are all busy.  I am a dog groomer.  Different but similar.
I have very thin, fine, curly hair.  My hair has been falling out for the last 6 years and I am starting to see scalp.  I wondered if extensions or something similar would make my hair look thicker.  I don't really even know what the options are much less which one would be the best one for me.  I'm afraid that it may damage my hair worse.  How often does something like this have to be done?  I would eventually like have healthy hair (trying everything) but, can you have healthy hair with stuff like this?  I have no problems having it done as often as I need to.  The back of my hair is ok just thin on the top.
I would love to hear any suggestions you might have for me.  This is so embarassing for me.  Girls should not lose their hair!
Thank you in advance.
