Okay, so the extensions were a light brown at first. I bleached them and they turned out salmony, almost peachy. The hot pink I wanted to dye them didn't take at all, of course I'm kind of bummed but it still looks rad, I think.

right side/front

left side

I didn't put any, in the back. I can't believe how easy it was. I was nervous about it, haha. May not be the best, but i'm happy with it. ANNND on the plus side, they are almost my exact natural texture at the moment, i hope it stays that way

The color came out great and I like that look on you.
Great job on the install, it looks like you added highlights into your natural hair Smile

Soooooooooooo cute.  Thank you so much for sharing all your experiences and your pictures.  Great job.  Please keep us in the loop how it goes from here.

I love how the colors turned out.  Looks great against your own hair.

very, very nice ,blends perfectly. I am sooo excited for you, your very first DIYHug Now you know all your friends are gonna want you to do their hair, right. Charge them around $15. They'll be glad to payBig%20smile. So what did the girls in hair color say about the hot pink. I'm sure they'll be able to help you achieve that color. So what colors are you going to try next?

It was kind of wierd to wake up, look in the mirror and see blonde again. Well, if I can find a way to do my funky colors, I'd loooove to do lime green, turquoise and hot pink together (my fav colors), but if I'm stuck with natural a nice red would make me happy. I even asked around the myspace hair groups im in about my hair, and the only thing I've gotten is a ''just buy blonde extensions'', oh well though. I'm kind of worried i put the extensions to my scalp, but don't think so. I think the best thing about this whole thing is my sister is majorly creeped out by the fact its ''human hair'' and i keep taunting her with it Embarrassed

they girls over in hair color can help you get those colors. You have a ton of hair to experiment with which is great. What did your friends say when they saw your hair?

Very nice.. I think the salmon color looks GREAT.. I like the part about creeping your sister out.. My sister freaks out over my closure.. she can't understand how the "scalp" looks like skin.. Gotta love it!! (Keeps her hands outta my headLOLLOL)

As for getting the bright colors you want.. You should try fabric dyes.. It will work best if you start out with a pale blone like 613/614 color.. One of the ladies on BHM and I were experimenting with this.. She did some tuquoise hair as a sample.. I will find this post and get you the link.. You'll want to use an acid dye (best type of dye for hair and natural fibers) versus an all purpose dye like Rit. Jacquard is some of the best acid dyes out there, and they come in LOTS of great colors..

Cute! You did a great job! Are you going to dye those light chunks? Hot pink would look cool from that site MsHoney found or else Im thinking like a bright Amazon green against the black would look really nice. The sky is the limit really. Anyway, bravo, look great! Kind of makes me want to go short again at some point hehe.

Here's the link to the thread I started on this topic:

http://talk.hairboutique.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=45144

As soon as BHM comes back online you can read the equivalent post on BHM.. (Link is in this thread) Hopefully Chulaudi's pics of the turquoise hair is still on BHM.. If not the important information on how to color human hair using fabric dyes is there..

It looks great, girl! I like the look you have going on. Try testing a stronger bleach on a strand, that might work. Or use a toner after you bleach to get it to more of a one solid color. That might help.
