Okay, I got hair sewn in. The hair itself was $50, and it was nice before the first time I washed it. It's supposedly 100% "premium human hair" but now. it's a frizz mess after i wash it, and it does help if I flat iron in but it's still pretty bad. I condition it well, so I know it's not from that. Am i doing something wrong? I tie it back when I sleep, thermal protectant with I straighten it but it's rather..bushy. I'd post a picture but I don't have my camera at the moment. My sassy ones from sally were $10 and they never looked liked this Help?
I don't think you are doing anything wrong, you just bought cheap bad hair and really not much can be done about it. It's worth the trouble and expense to buy a better quality hair like Bohyme.
I still stand by my original response.. What you describe is typical of lower quality hair behavior.. Have you spoken to the lady you got the hair from?? What is her suggestion??

It does sound like the hair was of lower quality and silicone coated. Did it look very nice out of package and newly sewn in? Then wash after wash became yucky and frizzy? That’s the tell tale sign of silicone coated hair because it looks fantastic until water hits it and then goes to hell as you remove that silicone coating. I’m not sure why you had better luck with the Sally hair which was less expensive except it might have been of a different texture than this hair.
Thats exactly it, and it smelled horrid! Like perm stuff or whatever. It looks so nice when she put it in. She gave me the left over hair, so I'll do a side by side picture tomorrow
Yeah, silicone smells funny and it has an overly shiny look to it. It can almost make human hair look like synthetic if its really coated well. I can never pin point the smell of silicone though. It seems it can be a little different and it mixes with the hair odor. I can feel it on my fingertips though.

Sorry to hear about your hair turning bad! Uggh. I would say watch out when a stylist says it will cost $50 for 'Premium quality hair.' It usually costs much higher than that. BUT, that is not to say you can't get good hair for $50! I often buy a 4 oz. pack of Remy hair on Ebay for about that and it lasts for months. Some of the best hair I've ever worn. I think she bought $30 hair and pocketed the rest!!! You should get her to replace that hair.
The other thing also, if you are buying the less expensive hair or coated, if you plan on wearing it a month or so and then getting more, what’s the harm? I know a lot of folks opt for this because they go nuts if they can’t change their look completely every few weeks. So in that case, it would become too expensive anyway.
this is the hair. it doesn't look too 'fluffy' in the picture, but i also flat ironed it to death and put in some product, but you can tell it's fairly frizzy.
and I had planned on wearing the hair for a while, as long as I could afford to, so it's kind of disappointing this hair won't be worth wearing after the month is up. I'm not sure she'll do anything when I talk to her about the hair, it wasn't the highest class salon in the world. blah!
Yeah, that looks like that frizz that starts to come when the coating is getting shampooed away. Been there many times! Chances are, if you confront her at the salon about it, she will just try to say it was your fault and you shampooed too frequently or used incorrect products or something or other. I can’t say that for certain but it’s happened to me. $50 is not going to get you "premium" hair or whatever she referred to it as. I’m ONLY saying this from my own experience and hair I have worn over the years and others might have tricks to extend its wear.

oh wow... I see the frizz ur talking about! That sucks! I hate spending money on hair only for it to not last. But, I agree with everyone. It was REALLY bad hair. Confront the hair salon.
Geez, that is frizzy! I don't think that's 'Remy' hair. I've never had hair do that or look like that and I don't wear really expensive hair & I wear the lightest blonde! You can definitely get better hair than that for a little more money. Love the colour, though --- rocks!
Hey did you get to see this hair come out of its original packaging? Like Fakeizme mentioned, maybe she took your $50 and got like the worst possible crap from Sally and pocketed the rest? That would suck but I’m sure it’s happened. Was this salon reputable in your opinion?
No, I didn't see her take it out of the packaging. Gahh, I pretty much just found a salon I could afford. She charged 35 for setting and 15 per track, which after reading around here I realized that's really cheap. I'm not sure if it was reputable, it was a pretty jank salon, but I try not to judge a book by it's cover, which I shouldve gotten out of there before spending anything.
Well as with many things, we get what we pay for. However, that does NOT give her the right to do anything illegal or rip you off. I would call her today, tell her there are problems with the hair (you can visually detect them) and see what she says. If she argues at all, ask her for the receipt for that hair and where she bought it from exactly. If she claims she doesn't have it or does not need to show it to you, then that’s a clue something fishy might have happened. She in the very least should be able to tell you where she purchased the hair from since there is a problem.
