You'll get to follow the evolution of the style for at least another season--"Castle" has been picked up for 2009-10, with the season premiere in September.  In promos for the premier, her hair looks to be a little shorter than at the end of last season and much shorter than the last shots above. 

As styled on the show, the shorter style often looks in need of a good trim and shaping.

The show's producers glammed her up a la "T. J. Hooker"  on the episode that aired 8/25 with a curly bob (and low cut evening gown); very nice.  In typical TV fashion, though,   the continuity was non-existent--for successive scenes on the same day, she had three different hairstyles.   And of course every female detective I've met always wears full evening eye makeup for a day at the office.

I'm watching it right now on my DVR; I like her but she needs to do something about getting a style; she was getting better at the end of the season but I noticed that she has gone shorter again.  Shorter is great, it's just that it doesn't seem to have any shape.

Actress from Castle. Just saw her cute cut and looked up her history. Looks like she has fun with her hair.
